O packages, packages wherefore art thou? 📦

Warning: This blog entry is for the daring only.
You already know our regular transit time of 2 to 3 business days from Miami to Panama, but we are here today to talk about certain instances in which your packages transit time might be different.
Here we share some information about the estimated time frame reception for:
- Letters: 1 - 2 months
- HAZMAT: 2 weeks
- Misidentified packages: 1 - 3 business days
- Maritime cargo: 2 weeks
Do your packages contain one or all of the above? Get in and put the seatbelt on because this gets an interesting time.
If you have any letters or documents on the way...
Usually, the letters and documents that travel within United States don't come with a tracking number, however this information is a very important part of our logistics because of the volume of packages received in Miami on a daily basis, specially during high season (October - December).
When possible, please remember to ask the sender of your documents to add a tracking number, this will make its transit time smooth.
Keep in mind that when a document is misidentified (more about that below) and doesn't have a tracking number, it's not possible for it to get sent to the right destination. That being said, letters and documents can take up to 2 months to arrive at your preferred branch.
If you have a HAZMAT package on the way...
The HAZMAT category refers to dangerous goods or materials such as inflammables, corrosive materials, toxic substances among others... this means that packages that contain items such as batteries, perfumes or others can be HAZMAT.
The categorization of a HAZMAT package is carried out by the seller or person who sent the package to your address when the logistics labels are placed, it's because of this that sometimes you can receive similar items/packages, without having been classified as dangerous goods.
There are no additional fees for handling HAZMAT packages, but delivery times will vary depending on the shipping method after arriving at our Miami warehouse: air cargo may take up to 2 weeks to reach your local branch, while sea freight has an estimated transit time of 30 to 45 business days.
If you have a misidentified package on the way...
It happens to the best of us... our seller or USA couriers don't print the complete information of our address on the shipping label, if you suspect that the RNB code may be missing from your package, feel free to let us know, we'll be happy to help!
If you have a misidentified package it simply means that it arrived in Miami but the RNB code is missing, so our agents in Miami have to manually look for it to send it to Panama. It can take up to 3 business days from the moment we send your package information to our agents in Miami, to arrive at your preferred branch.
If you have a maritime package on the way...
You did it, you finally ordered that Game of Thrones, Throne of Iron replica (the book version of course). In this case, feel free to use your alternative address for ocean freight. We do recommend this one for packages such as pallets, big furniture or very heavy loads.
If you are ordering a TV or a desk chair it's possible that air cargo is more convenient, feel free to ask your branch representative, we will make sure to let you know what's the best option for you.
Once in Miami, OCEAN packages can take up to 2 weeks to arrive at your branch of preference.
We finally made it to the end of our story! Here's a cookie for you. 🍪
